From early investigations and ovulation support through to IVF and more complex fertility concerns, her recommendations are guided by current scientific evidence and careful clinical judgement.
1
Ovulation Induction
Ovulation induction uses medication to stimulate or regulate the release of eggs, helping improve the chances of conception. It may be recommended for women who ovulate irregularly or not at all, including those with polyendocrine metabolic ovary syndrome (PMOS, previously known as PCOS).
A thorough assessment of hormonal and reproductive health helps determine whether ovulation induction is appropriate, with monitoring throughout treatment.
2
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Intrauterine insemination (IUI) involves placing prepared sperm directly into the uterus at the time of ovulation to increase the chances of fertilisation and pregnancy.
It may be suitable for individuals and couples experiencing mild sperm-related fertility issues, certain ovulation disorders, as well as those using donor sperm. An assessment of your circumstances helps determine whether IUI is an appropriate treatment option.
3
In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
IVF involves stimulating the ovaries to produce multiple eggs at once, collecting those eggs, and fertilising them with sperm in the laboratory. A resulting embryo can then be transferred into the uterus to achieve pregnancy.
IVF may be recommended when other treatments have been unsuccessful or where specific fertility conditions make it a more suitable option.
4
Egg Freezing & Fertility Preservation
Egg freezing allows eggs to be collected and stored for potential use in the future. It may be considered by women who wish to delay pregnancy or whose fertility could be affected by certain medical conditions or treatments.
Fertility preservation may also involve freezing sperm or embryos. The available options depend on factors including age, reproductive health, individual circumstances and family goals.
5
Recurrent Pregnancy Loss
Experiencing repeated miscarriages can be physically and emotionally difficult. Several factors may contribute to recurrent pregnancy loss, including genetic, hormonal, anatomical or other medical conditions.
A detailed review of your medical and pregnancy history, with investigations where appropriate, may help identify possible causes and guide treatment options to support future pregnancies.
6
Male Fertility
Male fertility concerns may involve low sperm count, reduced sperm movement, abnormal sperm shape or underlying reproductive health conditions.
Care may include a review of medical history, semen analysis and further investigations where necessary. Depending on the findings, treatment may involve lifestyle changes, hormonal medication, IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) or surgical sperm retrieval.
7
Donor Programs
Donor sperm, eggs or embryos can help individuals and couples build families when using their own gametes is not possible or preferred.
Donor-assisted fertility care may involve choosing an appropriate treatment pathway, understanding the medical, ethical and legal considerations and accessing the donor program through Life Fertility Clinic.
8
Surrogacy
Surrogacy may provide a pathway to parenthood for individuals or couples who are unable to carry a pregnancy themselves.
Care may include fertility assessment, treatment planning and guidance on the medical, ethical and legal aspects of surrogacy.
9
LGBTQIA+ Family Building
LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples have a range of options for starting or growing their families, with inclusive fertility care tailored to different family structures and reproductive goals.
Depending on your circumstances, options may include donor insemination, IVF, fertility preservation or surrogacy. Care involves understanding the available pathways and coordinating appropriate treatment through Life Fertility Clinic.
10
Preconception Care
Preconception care helps individuals and couples assess and prepare their reproductive health before trying to conceive.
This involves reviewing relevant medical history, medications, lifestyle factors and any existing health conditions that may affect fertility or pregnancy. Where appropriate, investigations, supplements or lifestyle changes may be recommended to help prepare for pregnancy and support informed decisions about reproductive health.
